Party delayed.  My husband has to go to the viewing for a friend's sister.  The friend works for him.

We're going out for dinner in about an hour.  The boy got his presents & he's happy with that for now.  We'll do the whole BIG family thing tomorrow.

Poor kid.  Gets ripped off because his birthday's so close to Christmas & now this.

I LOVE it when the kids get embarrassed.  The boy, O-man, begged us not to tell the Applebee's people that it was his birthday.  I promised him I wouldn't.  Dad promised that he wouldn't.  So...the girl went & told them while he was in the bathroom.  Everybody came out clapping & said his name & his age.  He had to stand up in the booth & everything.  Too funny for us.  Mortifying for him.

The embarrassment factor truly motivates me into being one of THOSE moms.  Yeah, I LOVE to shake my booty in front of the kids' friends.  I like to say bad words in front of their teachers.  (in jest, I swear)  I like to come to their schools looking all ratty.  It makes me very happy!

Hostess Frosted Donettes.  Chocolate only.  Mema & I (& pretty much everyone we know) call them Little Chocklies.

Tastykakes

Yes, I know that most of you do not know what Tastykakes are, but trust me, once you have had them, there is no going back to the dull stuff.

I love working for myself. I wish working for myself was a full time job. Eventually it will be.

I love it when my dog howls when my son practices his clarinet.  It's so cute seeing a mutt make the "O" howling mouth.

My grandson makes really sad faces when my son practices.  It's totally cute, too.

I love fall sunday afternoons when its sunny and warm out, but lightly raining too, as if the sky is confused.

I love heading over to the studio on Sunday nights, especially in the dead of winter and finding a nice sized audience tuned into the station. Warms me up and winter is not so bad then!

I got to see the howling dog "O" mouth last night.  The boy's not bad with his clarinet, but the dog just has this need to sing along with him.  OOOOOOooooooOOOO

We had a dog that would howl when he heard the sirens of fire engines.

I love that my son knows what I'm getting for Christmas & he's keeping it a secret.  Even more importantly I love that I know I could get it out of him if I tried...and I'm not even really trying this year.

Yep.  I can make them cry with a look.  I KNOW what they're doing in the kitchen just by the sounds.  I can guilt them with 1 sentence.  Gosh.  I feel like a super hero.

I love when in the winter we have a 30 degree day and/or no snow so I can open up the hood of my car and put more window cleaner in the resevouir without freezing to death. And then spraying off the salt and crud caked on the windshield. It never seems quite as clean as on the day I do this! crystal clear. I love that....

Sorry guys, it's too late for me to come to your house: I love wrapping presents! I love curling ribbon! I love gift tags! When I wrap, I actually think about how the gift will be opened, so I can wrap it accordingly for the best surprise effect.

Wow.  You're the first person I've ever met that actually likes wrapping stuff.

I say next year we give Molly a bus ticket and let her visit us all and do the wrapping.
