I received a department store gift certificate for christmas, so I went today after work- got 3 new pair of jeans (should last the year) a couple bags of socks (should last the year) and a brand new pair of slippers, which I have needed for a year. Nice ones, corteroy (sic?) with like lambs wool (probably fake) on the insides. COMFORTABLE! I HATE shopping, but a gift card makes it palatable enough!

I love the way a bunch of new clothes make one feel. Even just ordinary stuff- jeans. I like the way knowing I have new jeans makes me feel. And a decent pair of slippers.

I love how it can be 1 am and the request cue is absolutley packed with thinking-person's music!!!!!!!!!!!! when the night crowd comes alive and runs the station with their requests!!!

I leave the light above the kitchen sink on all the time- it serves as a nightlight when I get up for some water, its by a window, so even when I'm not home it looks like someone is here etc.

Well I have been in this place for just under a year, the light has pretty much never been turned off during this time, and it still has the same lightbulb in it as it did when I moved in.

Most bulbs last what, 3000 hrs if that? This sucker would have nearly triple that! I can't wait for the day that it does actually burn out, so I can take the glass off and see what name-brand bulb this is; I'll buy a case of them!!!!

I don't dare touch it right now, I don't want to jinx the thing and have it burn out on me- I wanna see just how long it lasts!!

Oh little light- bulb, how I love thee!

I love that you can buy wine in single serving 4 packs. Some nights after work, if I am alone & I feel like a glass of wine I crack open a bottle. on principle I have to finish it. I sometimes don't feel like a whole bottle of wine, just a glass or two. SO these single serving bottles are great. I LOVE THEM!

Oh I agree Molly entirely. I am starting to accept california wines, the cabernet I had last night was pretty darn good. but yea, it seems mostly geared to the merlot and white wine folks.

I have a big document scanner on my desk that has a fan that serves as the perfect amount of white noise. its not loud to be irritating, but helps drown out the turkeys on the other side of the all who spend all day being idiots on the phone and to eachother.

didn't realize how much I appreciated it until it went down for service this morning. I craved that hum and whistle! It's back up. Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

I love the drive through lady at the Wendy's by where I work. No its not a crush, I just love that she is quick. Perhaps annoyingly quick, but her customer service skills are A-1 constently. Without fail, she is waiting to hand me my food before I can even get my money out of my wallet. I see her co-workers busting their butts to get the food to her fast. Maybe she is the manager?

THe consistent level of service provided is what I love.....a perfectionist. Whenever I need a quick lunch, I think of her first. I can be out of here, in my car, and back with an ok 99 cent burger and a good side 99 cent side salad in 4 minutes.

However, if it were a crush, I imagine kissing her would taste like burgers, fries, chicken nuggets.......

I love paper clips.

I had some printed out e-mails that I wanted to arrange in a spefic way for a meeting, and paperclips made the whole arrangement convenient and logical.

Considering I hate half the thing that are on my desk (stapler, phone, binders, computer) it may have been a good thing I missed it. I would have to find the other thread for that.
