RE: Product Review

I have that too DS. And I've also been using Eucerin for it! I've also been washing my arms with Lush's Angels on Bare Skin recently, and I think that and being out in the sun have helped a lot too.

Their toner looks nice, but I don't think my wallet would like it.

I will preface this short story by saying that it had been over two years since I had had a beer. If I did drink it was wine at home or some mixed drink out. But the last couple of weeks I felt that I really wanted a beer. Must be the time of year or the weather. But I wanted something that was good, light and tasty. I knew that several brewers have seasonal ales. I have never had a Sam Adams Summer Ale. It is brewed with a bit of lemon and citrus flavor. I had heard it was good and it sure sounded good. But never having tried it I needed opinions. Then I saw that Sam Adams has a Cherry Wheat Ale. That got my attention because I like cherries.  Talked to the beer man about both. I couldn't decide, so I bought a case of each. Sat out in the yard at home on Saturday night and drank beer, listened to tunes and just vegetated. I tired both beers. Not bad. I think I prefer the Cherry. The summer ale is okay. I think it needs more citrus, I could taste too much of the bitter aftertaste. The cherry has a stronger fruit taste and it takes away more of the bitter aftertaste. Like I said, overall I think I enjoyed them.

My daughter gives thumbsup to the Cherry Wheat too Fuzzy. thumbsup.gif
I like Sam Adams in general. But then again, I am more of a beer drinker than any other type of alcohol, so I like to try all the different kinds.

Anyone try Smithwick's ??... that's a good Irish ale.

I have heard that Smithwick's is good. But I don't necessarliy like a heavy beer. I am not much into Guiness. Is Smithwick's as heavy as Guiness? Darlene, you probably know some good beers to try though. I am open to suggestions.

Woo if you stop by I will share some of mine with you. That way you can try it. I wasn't sure about it, but the guy at the beverage store let us try a little before I bought the case. Before that, he noticed us hanging out in that aisle and brought us over a sample of a French type beer made by Two Brothers Brewing outside of Chicago  (I think that was it). It was okay. Again, it is better if my beer doesn't really taste too much like a beer. I look for something refreshing.

Sometimes I have a problem getting enough protein in a day. I have an acquaintance who suggested a Whey Protein powder. Most of them come in a huge container for like $25. But I don't want to spend money on a huge container without trying it first. So I found one that came in little packets so I could sample it.

Nature's Life Healthy Whey Pro-96

THIS IS THE MOST DISGUSTING THING I HAVE EVER TASTED! I have the perfect metaphor for it, but I'm afraid I'll make people sick mentioning it. Just trust me, don't try this. I can't believe people drink this...

So old posting.... but I figured since you posed this question I'd answer it now.... 6 months later:

I like so many.... yes, Smithwick's is a good beer.... bit heavy.

Corona

Fat Angel

New Castle

Sam Adams Boston Lager
Sam Adams Winter Lager

Lone Star (believe it or not) is good

By themselves, most whey protein powders do taste horrible. You have to mix them with something other than water to mask the taste.

I mixed it with milk.  Still worst thing ever.

I use a different kind, but I mix it with Slimfast. Not too heinous that way.

I bought some green bags (as seen on tv, but I got mine in Walmart). They are totally awesome. I have some celery I bought on the 18th to take to E's school. I had a bunch left and they have been in the frig and bag ever since. I pulled them out today and they were just as crisp as tasty as they were on the 19th! Also I have used them for fruit and veggies in and out of the frig. I paid 10 bucks for about 20 bags, and they are reusable. They have made my produce last longer than anything!

My Mom bought those a few months ago and loves em too!

in fact she says they work TOO well! She buys banana's before they're ripe so they last longer, but in the bags they stay pre-ripened too long and she has to take em' out for a bit so they get to where she can eat em'.

Yeah the banana did not fair well in the bags. They need to ripen naturally. Plus I have one almost everyday, so I never throw them out!

I just wondered how it works. Lettuce usually ends up going bad on me.

quiet a while back we were talking about teeth whiteners -- professional, the strips, the goop & trays, ect.
anyway, my teeth are showing their age and i've never had them professionally whitened because i'm too frugal. i picked up some Arm & Hammer Whitening Booster last week at the drugstore. It's a clear gel that you use with your toothpaste.   After just a few uses, I am able to see a difference. I give it  thumbsup.gif  and well worth the $5 or $6  cost.

Don't laugh, but I walk to relax, not far because of the back, and drink chammomile tea.  Prob. didn't spell that correctly, but that and Valerian root help relax too.
