computer geeks to the rescue, I need your advice....

I just noticed this item on sale at a local store nearby.  But I want to make sure I can use it for what I think I can:

It's a Linksys wireless music system, that add says that you can stream your digital music from your pc or laptop and also allows you to access 100's of internet radio stations...

My Question:
I buy this can I listen to FFR from another floor of my house, w/o being near my computer??

I found more info.  I can't say for certain you could tune us in, but I'd be REALLY surprised if Live365 wasn't accessible through this player.

In fact, if you check the Live365 website I think they have a section on players that are available, they may show this one.  Although if it's NOT there that wouldn't mean it can't tune in our station.

Hey thanks Riggs, I think I'll get me one, try it out. It's on sale for only $40.  If it doesn't tune FFR in, I can always bring it back.

FORTY BUCKS!  Are you sure it's not a misprint!  I would expect that to be in the $250 - $400 range!

i usually look up user reviews on things like that, but yeah you could always just try it and bring it back if ya don't like it.

Darlene, do you have a wireless card in your computer? You'll need wireless (WiFi) capability in the computer (or wireless router) that you will be using to send the information to this player. Maybe you already knew that, but I thought I'd mention it just in case.

Wow!

I wondeer if that's the same as out "Big Lots" stores (the ad style looks the same).

I gotta get me a couple of those!  I'd love to have an internet radio next to the bed.  I could fall asleep to the sweet sounds of Freeze-Frame Late Night

Darlene, I can't find them online ANYWHERE.  I would gladly send you cash plus something for your trouble and shipping if the thing winds up working for you!

I would LOVE to have one of those.

About a year ago they were putting a few on the market but they were always REALLY expensive.

Bought it!! I haven't been able to figure out how to stream FFR yet though.  I can stream MusicMatch jukebox, and Rhapsody. 

It's pretty cool there are police scanners in it too to listen to.  I was listening to the Las Vegas PD over the weekend.
