Thank goodness we escaped yet another one of Florida's natural disasters.  This one did it's damage about 20 miles away.  We had plenty of rain and wind and thunder and lighting, it even woke us at about 3:30ish this morning.

We are on the northwest side of metro-Orlando and thats where the storm did much of it's damage 20 miles up the road.

We also escaped most of the 2004 triple hurricane damage and a few smaller tornadoes that hit around here in the recent past.

Thanks for thinking of us and if ya can send a contribution to the American Red Cross to help the many victims of this storm.

Glad you and your family are safe SG!  Bad for the places that were hit though.

I just escaped a cyclone here!

That was just crazy with the tornados!  I live in "tornado alley" and rarely do we see that kind of happenings.  I'm really glad you are okay SG.  I was watching the national news coverage of the damage last night. I guess they are calling this a product of global warming and El Nino.

Probably.  I do believe that golbal warming is real. I believe that man is in fact making things much worse for this planet as well. Still though, some of the is just cyclic weather patterns that have been demonstrated throughout history since weather records were kept. From those records, it looks like we are about midway through what is generally a 10 year pattern of really cruddy weather events.
