I go back and forth between feeling an immense amount of sympathy for Britney Spears as a human being who simply can not handle the fame and fortune she has had since a child.  I mean, she's never had a real life, it's always been this make-believe Hollywood life.

On the other hand, there's that tiny part of me that likes to watch her self-implode because she's SO out of touch with reality and seems like she'd be a real snot to know in person if you weren't rich and famous.

Anyway, after reportedly putting in less than a day at rehab she decided to shave her head and get some more tatoos!

Her record company has to be going INSANE!  She was supposed to have a HUGE come-back attempt CD coming out in a few months.  This is NOT going to help the PR of that!

I hope she grows some sense someday.  Her kids are little right now, but someday they will be embarrassed by her behavior even if she isn't.  I feel for them.

Oh, I know! I watch the national news (MSNBC and CNN) just about every night. I know they are trying hard to fill a 24 hour news cycle, but come on. I don't care what Anna Nicole Smith's will says. I feel for her baby being essentially alone in the world at this point. It was a tragedy that her son died so young. It's sad that she died so young. Still, ENOUGH ALREADY! I don't care who the baby-daddy is. That is not my business. I don't care what she died from. I don't care where she gets buried. I don't care what her relationship with everyone she ever met was or what they all think of Howard K. Stern. I don't even want to know that there is such a person as Howard K. Stern.

What I want to know is what is going on in the world. I want to know if there has been some major global development. I want to know if we are going to war with Iran despite the ongoing wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. I want to know if the civil war in the Niger Delta is going to continue to drive my gasoline prices upward.

PLEASE, PLEASE... I need not be burdened with the knowledge that Brittany Spears doesn't wear undies when she goes out partying!!

This is why I love PBS news.  Fair, honest, non-partisan reporting with none of that crap.

I think at one point Brittany wanted to be like Madonna.  It's more likely she'll be more like Anna.

And, she's just doing all of this for sensationalism. I think she thinks this will help her fit in. If she really wanted to shave all her hair off, the smart thing to do would have been to stage it as a cancer charity thing.

I was saying that I had recently said that if i had the guts i would love to do that...just once...and Mark was saying that why didn't i do it as a charity thing later in the year...which is something I have thought about doing in the past...
