Its encouraging to see the temp at 31 degrees at 7:00am. It says we could see the low 50's today - yay!
Just doing my normal Sunday morning thing here . . . getting ready to go to praise team practice at church. We're playing two new songs today so hopefully we can come together on those and have it turn out ok.
This afternoon, I have to go back to the church for a meeting. We're about ready to start building the new sound booth and a bunch of us that will be doing the work are getting together to make final plans and decisions.
I hope your weather is better today too, and I hope you have a great day.
Have a full day ahead with work, visit to the medical specialist flying in from Cairns to see me and getting my car repaired. Darn thing broke down on me while I was out in the bush today...got a nice old hole in my radiator! Bugger!
I'm a bit discouraged this morning. Before I could come on the forum, I had to get rid of a bit of nasty spyware. It used windows security icons and called itself Active X Control. I'm sure Brian accidentally downloaded it thinking it was one of those active x things you get all the time. But now that's out of the way...
Hey Mz! My family have Chinese New Year celebrations...I am half asian! We usually go eat really good chinese food on the day! It is something I miss up here!
I am year of the tiger and damn...I have a birthday coming up!
Wow, that's cool Jules! We went out and had a big dinner with friends last night to celebrate. Other than that, I'll probably cook myself something chinese today and wear red, and that's about it. I might stop by an oriental store and see what type of things they've got out today. That's one thing I love about the town I live in, there's lots of ethnic shops.
Sunday's my usual cleaning day, but you're not supposed to clean on New Years day else you clean out the good luck, so it look's like I can't clean today. Darn.
My Sunday was a relaxing one... we went out for breakfast...then to an old stately home nearby. it's usually closed to the public but today the grouunds were open for the "Snowdrop Walk"
Then more refreshments...then Rachel escaped home while the rest of us went to a Rugby league match...the sun shone and the fleece was cast aside and arm bared!! (Remarkable for February) Oh and more refreshments were partaken... Then we gathered up Rachel again and went to see "Charlote's Web" at the Pics and then rounded off with a meal...Ahhh....
I just got done getting today's sermon and music cropped and uploaded to the church website.
We got a pretty good recording today of "I Love You Lord". Here's a LINK if you're interested in hearing it. This is a short song but VERY spiritual. As usual, I'm on bass but you don't hear me sing. I can take no credit for the nice four-part harmony.
Now that I got this done, I can tune in to the Jazz Dr.
