Well I am up and ready to get working! I am trying to finish up weekly chores so we can get to work. on remodeling. Need to run out and pick the paint up and some roller covers. I have to take everything out of E's room, but I need to sort through it first. Look out Goodwill- I'm on my way. She has so much I need to get rid of! I am making Fuzzy a room upstairs- Eagles green on the bottom, an Eagles border as a chair rail and white on the top. He already has the bed setting. Emily's room is going to be a princess room- right now it has dinosaurs up- last owner was a boy. She has curtains that I made and a canopy that hangs from the ceiling. We are gonna paint it pink with white shelving all along the top so that I can display all her collectibles. I do not think I will get much done today but emptying her room into boxes and hopefully the closet will get shelves as will the room. I also have to try to get the friggin wallpaper that was superglued of the wall!

Ugh . . . morning.

I had a headache last night. Took some drugs and was able to get to sleep but woke back up about 5:00 with it pounding again. I took more drugs but never did get back to sleep. Now, I gotta get ready to go work at the church today.

I see Ray on, good morning to you.

Thanks, Ruby. Good luck to you too . . . sounds like a big job. I am a little confused though, I thought you were selling the house. Must not be doing that if you're redoing E's room. Hope it goes well!

It is a toss up- we are "dating" this month- a request he made last week. Give him a month to prove that divorce is not what he wants. He realizes that the devil is in our marriage and I have agreed to give him one month to prove to me that this will work. Tall order! I am milking him for projects during the month, that need to be done whether we sell the house or not. The kids rooms are very yucky from the previous owners, no taste and no painting skills! I have been praying hard about this and I know that if he is on my side with God that this marriage can work- but he has to be willing to listen to my advice. So far so good, dinners, help around the house, and our finances are finally back on track. Emily asked me not to split up with her daddy and that is truly the reason that I am giving this a try. We stand to lose so much if we split. Marriage is not supposed to be easy and I have learned that the hard way, but I made a commitment and so did he and he does not want to get out yet!

Morning all!

Web, I've had headaches like that. Hopefully it goes away soon.

Ruby, sounds like you've got a full day ahead of you. I'm actually kind of jealous. Since I rent, we can't even paint the walls. I'm sick of white.

Whoa! I just looked out the window for the first time and realized there's snow on the roof. I'm afraid to look at the ground...yep, snow there too. I think I may stay inside today.

Just checking in real quick. My husband has pneumonia and had to get a shot in the butt along with antibiotics more steroids and some expectorant. I had a migraine yesterday so it seems it was going around. Today my mom & step-dad our taking us to see Ghost Rider for hubby's b-day. Only got about a half hour before they show- so gotta go! Later!

Back home. We had a good crew and got all the walls up, floor on and the outside covered with drywall so it doesn't look to bad for church service tomorrow. Now, we have to wait for the electricians to get done and inspected before we can cover the inside walls with drywall.

Well E's room is finally emptied! I took my time sorting through her stuff and that made it take longer. We also went to Home Depot and got everyone some paint- both girls picked a pink- E's matches her curtains I made two years ago and Amy's matches her new bedding and the boy got the Philly Slate and Green. He is upstairs almost ready to paint- the prep takes the longest. I am getting ready to go tackle the wallpaper border that I swear they super glued on!

I am taking a break from wall paper removal- my back hurts. It is a chair rail border and if I stand I have to bend a little and if I kneel I reach up, so my back is KILLING me! The boy is almost done prepping his room- putting the last of the tape around the baseboards. I will not paint tonight unless I prime E's walls. They are a deep deep crimson and I bought some Oops paint ($5- gallon someone did not want) to prime it. My hubby needs to finish building the shelves and installing them. My big project today was to clean out E's room and get rid of stuff and then remove the dinosaurs!

oops paint rules! lol back when I worked at a hardware store I created my fair share of oops paint!  lol made up for the loss by pushing the expensive brushes and rollers.....

I coughed myself awake at about 7 this mornig (I slept on the sofa downstairs so as not to disturb anyone...especially Mark who was doing an early shift today and had a disturbed night the night before)
Then my sister texted to say she was coming a visiting with my niece (who is a gorgeous, tiny 3 year old - and bossy with it!!!!)...so I have them sleeping over too, and it is the kids weekend here too so full house. My sis has nicked my sofa and her little one is sharing Browni's room.
We went out to the Pleasure Beach today and took the niece on some kiddies rides , had doughnuts and then came home for tea. When sis got her in and out of the bath she was so tired she didn't even want to come downstairs to say goodnight...Then us grown ups and my 2 kids had pizza...YAY!
I let my 2 stay up to see the eclipse :)
