Internet Top 30 Countdown - March 4, 2007

Not many debuts this week, but a few that I'm excited about.  Most notably a new single from Corinne Bailey Rae.

Here's the CD's we'll be hearing FFR Debuts from...

Corinne Bailey Rae

Josh Kelley

Beck

The Raconteurs

Sunday afternoon at 4 PM CT.

Hope to see you there!

Ooo some new Beck. That guy always has something interesting happening in his music. Can't wait to hear!

Brian's got the new Beck. It comes with a DVD of videos too. Those are pretty good, I think they just raided a costume closet!

Oh, the Raconteurs are hot - very counter-culture! I like their weirdness.

They've got a sampling of their most popular stuff on Myspace if you feel like checking them out in advance. Pretty cool if you like that sound.

Actually since I started doing the countdown I've kind of enjoyed the novelty of not hearing the music in advance.

It's sort of fun to hear it for the very first time when I'm doing the show.  But I bought the CD, so if I like em' I'll be covered

Cool! I presume you're playing "Steady as She Goes"? "Level is pretty good too. Hey, if that's some of the emerging music for FFR, does that mean stuff like Cold War Kids and Village Green are on the horizon? Maybe some more Fall Out Boy or Panic! At the disco? Oooo, I'm getting excited! {{lol}}

Oh, they play Steady As She Goes on the radio here. I like it. But like most songs on the local radio station, they play it way too much.

Riggs, I missed it! What did you play by The Raconteurs and how did you like it? Sorry man, I was out playing and lost track of time.

It was "Steady, as she goes".

I liked it.  Has kind of an old time feel to it

Cool. That's one of the better releases by the band, and it does have a vintage sound. Glad you liked it!
