I am hungry and was thinking back to dinner last night. I had a sweet potato and the others had a regular potato. Do you have a preference and what do you like on top?

I prefer sweet potatoes, with sugar (brown or regular) or orange juice mixed in. If I have a regular potato, I love butter and sour cream and chives- oh yeah and bacon bits.

Ok so now I am starving!

don't like sweet potatoes. If baked potato then lots of sour cream w/ butter!

I'm with Woo.  Simpler is better with taters.

Butter, Sour Cream, maybe some mushrooms sauteed with the butter before it's poured over the top.  Oh, and some melted cheese.  Mmmmmmmmmm.

Sweet with nothing on top.  (It's so sweet, nothing is needed!)  I just microwave it, mush it down with my fork, and I'm ready to go!

I like both types, but it really depends on what's in the rest of the meal too. Sweet with butter and cinnamon or brown sugar (or both). I've made whole meals out of baked potatoes, loading them with just about anything. I love sour cream, but I'll also do broccoli and cheese and bacon bits, or hamburger cooked in mushroom soup, or chicken with spaghetti sauce and mozzarella...

Mmmmm...they're both too good to prefer one over the other. Sweet potatoes Chilean style - baked with a candied honey and hot chili pepper glaze. Yukon gold potatoes made tempura style. And of course, a good old fashioned baker with chives, sour cream, and sharp cheddar. Yummy!
