Funny you mention olives, I was just talking about this with my mom yesterday. I have always loved black olives but could not eat green olives until about two years ago. Why? All because of a nightmare I had as a child.
I had this dream where the pantry was full of jars of green olives stuffed with pimentos. The olives started sprouting little black clawed arms and legs and busting out of the jars. I slammed the pantry doors shut but they just crawled under the doors and a sea of the awful things covered me and scratched me. It was so frightening that I would wake up terrified - I had this dream more than once. Oh my! Isn't it strange how the workings of the mind can have such a long-lasting affect?

I am a green olive girl, but Emily loves them both- she will eat a whole can of black olives if we are not watching. Most places we go to we have to get extra for her!
