Anyone who tunes in tonight don't be alarmed, YES, we are playing two songs in a row from each artist.

I'm testing some programming.  Right now it's only working on songs the system plays, but I'm trying to tweak it so that it will work with your requests.  The hope is at some point we'll be able to have two-fer Tuesdays.

You are still free to request songs, they will not be doubled like the songs chosen by the system.

I like that idea- how is that legal though? I know there are plenty of radio stations that do it here.

It turns out it's not a problem Ruby.

I had thought it was, but a few months ago I read the regulations more thoroughly and found out it's ok.

You can't play the same artist more than three times in a three hour period. (this is why the New Music Weekend is actually legal). There is nothing against playing them back-to-back though.

Not a PIA Ruby

I'm a little tied down by the software for the request list though.  I had it set to let an artist repeat every two hours, but oddly a lot of people didn't like that.  I guess they felt they were hearing too much of certain artists.

But I'll keep playing around with it.
