My poor little girl is sick today and I am trying to think of things that my mom did for me as a kid to make me feel better. Do you have anything that was a sure fire way to make you feel better (or atleast thought it did)? What did you eat or drink ect...

the only thing I remember getting was candy or toys. Aside from that I've always been comforted or relaxed by someone playing with my hair.

Of course, the classic, chicken noodle soup.

When I couldn't keep soup down, it was usually saltines and ginger ale. But I'm not exactly sure why.

What MZ said- and MZ the ginger settles your stomach and the crackers are bland and maintain healthy sugar level until you feel better.

Yeah, the ginger ale and saltine crackers were my "swear by" remedy too when my girls were young and had a stomach bug.

Hahaha! When I would lose my voice from being sick or have a very sore throat, my a would give me a shotglass of hot ginger brandy. weirdface Yeah, that sounds kinda wrong now, but it did the trick! Such strange things parents used to use for home remedies.
