JD is upset over the mainstream media sensationalizing this whole thing, which they have now crossed the line into doing.
But I gotta tell ya. I've been reading a TON online and have now come across three journalists (one of them admittedly a blogger) that are placing the blame ON THE STUDENTS!!!!! I think I'm going to be sick!
I won't even say who they are because I don't want their sites getting another hit thanks to me. If you want to read em' you can find them with a relatively easy web search.
These lunatics are saying this is part of the "wussification of America" (a term I must admit I myself use in certain situations) and suggesting the victims could have stopped this by rushing the shooter.
Another one says he can't begin to understand how 25 college-age students line up to be executed without fighting back! Maybe I missed it, but I don't recall that being mentioned as an actual situation.
When this first happened I myself thought it strange that seemingly not one person attempted to stop this guy. Swing a chair at him. Rush him from behind. Whatever. But I would never, IN A MILLION YEARS, criticize or question someone's actions in the midst of such a horrible scene.
What the HELL is wrong with some people in this country?
All the pain the families, the community and the nation is in right now and they think this is a good time to take these kinds of shots?
Sometimes I'm ashamed of the human race. Some people need to learn to shut up.
I saw an interview this morning with one of the surviving victims. This guy was shot in the leg. Most everyone else in the room was killed. He said that the shooter was in there maybe a total of 30 seconds. 30 seconds is not enough time to divise a plan. That is crazy to blame the victims.
One of the hospitalized victims said he heard the guy run out of ammo, it took him a few seconds to drop the empty magazine, reload and go back to shooting.
Plus, who the hell has the right to question how someone reacts to this situation?
