I'm not one to usually post this kind of stuff, but my sister is doing an MS walk in about a week and she's looking for donations.
They can go right on your Credit Card and no amount is too small, even a dollar would be appreciated (her goal is only to reach $100.00). If anyone knows someone with MS I'm sure you'd find this a worthy cause, and like I said even a buck would be helpful.
Your donation can be completely anonymous if you like, or you can put your name on it too.
Like you, I can't do much cus I've been trying to give a little to a lot of different sources, but every little bit does help.
I'm proud of Erica for taking part in something like this. We have a cousin who does charity work all year long, usually once a month she's in a walk, a bike-ride, fashion show, or something. This weekend she's part of a beer-tasting fund raiser where you can go and sample all kinds of beers for a donation.
I have a lot of respect for anyone who takes time out of their life to help others. I hope some day to do a lot more of that myself.
Same here. Especially after being in it, I can see what a difference even only a tiny bit makes. I'm really proud of my dad for doing his. He's pretty shy so he doesn't normally do stuff like that. And, if I were to do something like that and my goal was $200 like his, he'd probably just write a check for the whole amount.
Like I said, I'm trying to get more into this stuff.
I spend enough time at the casino, and I've been blessed with some good fortune in my life. I know I can't do much right now but I really do beleive every bit helps.
I think American Idol did some good. It really kind of woke me up a bit. It's interesting to see the two sides, one on you had these wanna be stars, many of who are on their way to being rich, and on the other you had these poor poor children dying from hunger and disease.
Quite frankly, I was shocked to see New Orleans is still in such disarray. I knew it was, I've read about it. But as they say, pictures are worth a thousand words.
The media usually doen't show what good work is being done .....they focus on the bad stuff...it's sexier! New Orleans will be a hell hole (expect for the tourist areas) for the next 10 years I bet!
Yet some of those affected had the gaul to lie and cheat the government and take monry from the pot leaving even less for those that really need it! I hate those type of people and wish harm to them every day!
my mom is living w/ a disease like MS, her disease is named syringomyelia Not that I am trying to sound depressing, but I am watching how awful MS and Syringomyleia can be.
