Even though I voted for Jordin in our poll, I still thought she would be the one going home tonight due to Blake and Melinda's performances last night. I was SHOCKED that Melinda was the one sent home. I think she has a bright future. And... from all appearances, couldn't happen to a nicer person!!
While they all strive to be "the" American Idol, coming in 3rd isn't that bad. It couldn't have happened to a nicer person, I agree. Jordin is well-liked and should do well.
I just have a feeling Blake will win it all. I have thought that for the last couple of weeks since he keeps hanging around. I really thought he would have been gone two weeks ago.
I really think this year it is gonna come down to song choice......Blake has the momentum, but if Jordin comes out sings a few "newer" songs in several different genres, she should be good enough to win.
I think all three are gonna have a greatr successful first CD anyway....
And what did you think of Elliott Yamin....I really like his CD! What about those new choppers and hair style.....

Melinda had the fewest votes for number one and now she's gone. Blake has the second most votes, so if he goes next week we'll have been perfect in our view!
I still say Jordin is gonna win. I think a great many of Melinda's voters will still vote in the final. Given Melinda's style, I think her fans are more likely to point their votes at Jordin.
Not winning American Idol is not that bad. With the exception of Kelly Clarkson, the people that have done well after the show, had been booted off early (Clay Aiken, Chris Daughtry). I think that Melinda will do well. She enjoys singing gospel and not winning will allow her to sign with the label of choice.
