Morning everyone....it's Monday again and what a start I've had to my week. 
My daughter informed me last night that she'll be attending her Senior Prom this coming Friday by herself.  Seems her boyfriend had an "idea" of what to do after prom that she didn't like and she went off on him....I can't repeat here on the forum the exact words she said, but she basically told him to kiss off.  After talking with her, it seems he's been putting a lot of pressure on her to "take their relationship to a new level" that she isn't ready for and wants no part of right now.  So she broke it off with him and told me she's still going to go to her prom, just not with him.  I'm glad to know my daughter can't be pressured into things she doesn't want to do!!  smile

Yay for GD's daughter!

That's gotta make a mom feel good that not only is she willingto make and stick to good choices, but yet she'll talk to you about it as well. smile.gif


Its the boy's last Monday ever in Kindergarten. School is out Wednesday.

I'm still groggy today. I took a couple Benedryl last night and they always make me feel like a bowl of Jello. I slept really well though.

I'm going to call and see if the eye dr has any more ideas. My eyes have been bugging me terrible the last week or so. I don't know if its allergies or something else. I've never had allergies before and have even been tested with nothing showing up.

Hello all! This is only a 3 day week for me. We are going up to my in-laws for the holiday vacation.

Well that's good to hear Sandy. terrible that he was pressuring her though. I don't have as much faith in my girl right now. Oh and she has a new boyfriend who is 16.

Hope you feel better Web!

I am not sure what kind of day this will be. I still may leave my desk to continue to help my husband like I did Friday night and part of Saturday. His stuff has to be done in order for me to be able to process payroll.

Yeah Web, it does make me feel good. smile  There are many, many times I've wondered if my kids are paying attention when I've been talking to them.....this proves that they are!!  I guess it pays off to have frank, open talks with your kids no matter how uncomfortable it may seem at the time.  I'm really glad she felt at ease with me to tell me about it.....makes a mother's heart feel so good!!! smile

good day, folks!  still busier than a cat covering up poopy, but listening!  it's a beautiful day in the tulsa metro --  looking forward to 81* this afternoon.  nine days and no more school, no more books, no more teacher's dirty looks! --  until august 22!  now jake can wear his Will N.
