She sent me this email:

Mom: I have a few pictures from the Jimmie Johnson dealership and of the limited edition Jimmie Johnson Silverado SS. The truck is amazing! Wanna buy it for me? It's only $40k.
I also have a picture of a necklace eddie made for me. He picked the shell off the beach and shaped it into a heart and made the hemp necklace part too. He engraved e+k on the back of the shell...soo cute.
I'll send you more picks tomorrow from the padres game.

Bah! Don't worry about it too much D, it's not THAT serious.

He only engraved K in it, not her whole name.

He's leaving the window open for a Kari, Kelly or Kristen hmm.gif

He seems very nice.  I met him a few times, and his family also.  They live here in my town Attleboro!  He has about 1 and half years to go and then he either gets out or reinlists.  I told Kaisha, that I am supportive, as long as she is happy!   And he treats her well, he's in the military so I don't see him being a loser later in life!!

My boyfriend's father was in the Navy, of course many years ago.  I don't hear that many horror stories....

My hubby was a bit of a wild child anyway. But he has many stories about shore leave in Hong Kong and Japan involving lots of drink and lots of women.

I know from working in a bar for years about navy guys and their wives cheating on each other when they are apart. I think that is typical in any relationship where distance is an issue. It is hard to remain faithful for some. But it is really the people involved and not the job.

Yeah, my husband had a girlfriend when he was in the navy, and they agreed to have an open relationship. And then she fell in love with another guy and broke up with Brian in a Dear John letter. What she didn't know was that he was carrying around an engagement ring for her to propose when he got back, and he says it was a really expensive one. It's at the bottom of the Pacific somewhere now.

Well said Ruby.  I know that Kaisha just sits around all day and talks about Eddie all the time, they are constantly on the phone w/ each other, and she has never wanted to find a new BF since she starting dating him.

I don't think he would do that to her either, but like you say, it's the person who does it not really the job.  You hear of  military spouses all the time, just waiting patiently for their loved ones to come home.  If they are going to cheat then that is wrong, and that's the kind of person that they are. blankstare

No not yet!! But he's saying after he's done, in about a year and half he's not going to reinlist, and come back here to his hometown.... where we live! smile.gif  and they'll live happily ever after...LOL!

Here's a few more pictures she took at Petco Park, she went to see the Padres and the Cubs play on Wed. Night.... the Padres won!  I hope you like that Riggs!  I can't believe how state of the art some of these fields are.  I Love Fenway don't get me wrong, and it's so hystorical, and ummm, it's kinda just plain, and it's cramped.
