Checklist for future mate

(1) Must like same thermastat settings as me. JR. Sorry buddy but this is going to eliminate you right off the bat. I've heard about your place. You don't even need a fridge. You just leave leftovers right on the counter without any fear of spoilage. Freezerburn maybe but that's it...
(2) Must know how to give backrubs and be willing to give ME one first. I fell for that "you rub mine first" for years before finally wising up...

For me, must be creative. Being able to think outside the box is an invaluable trait.

Sorry JR. It was a really tough decision. I was weighing our socio-political views in one hand, but the pleasure I derive from having absolute dominion over my home's thermastat just took over. This new found power and freedom is really going to my head!

I don't see why we couldn't just build some kind of plexiglass divider. hmm.gif

It just doesn't seem fair that I'm eliminated right off the bat just because I like it cold.  I'm a friggin' penguin for crying out loud! crying.gif

But... knowledge of how to use a hanger "Correctly" and "Appropriately" is a BIG plus. The wooden or color coded plastic are just icing on the cake.

I would add-- being able to talk the problems out rather than getting mad and storming out of the room.

I like the Scrabble partner one TG, I loved that about my X hubby, he loved a good game of Scrabble.... or any type of game, he was very competitive. And I was also so it was great to challenge each other! Current BF would never play a game, he doesn't even offer to play games w/ his 4 year old...let alone me!

Someone who's not afraid to live life to the fullest, has an adventurous streak in him, knows who he is and what he wants, has a great imagination and a terrific sense of humor.

Well I for one want someone who at least knows to leave the room if he can't talk it out. It took Duane and I a long time to stop yelling and go to our "corners," think and then talk later. I hate going to bed mad, but have learned that some things need time or a different perspective.

leaving is fine if it comes to a point, but it should not be the first reaction.

In all seriousness, I have actually learned as I've gotten older to walk away from an arguement to avoid saying something I'll regret.

I don't "storm" off, but it wouldn't be unusual for me to just not want to talk about the issue until I've had a little time to calm down and think of how to clearly state my point of view.

Ten years ago I just would have jumped into an all out arguement and usually made things worse. hmm.gif
