This is a neat story and I think it speaks how we all feel about you two- we would do anything for you guyssmile


SHELBY, North Carolina (AP) -- A radio listener helped save a disc jockey who suffered an on-air seizure and pleaded for help before passing out in his studio.

WOHS DJ Tim Biggerstaff, who has suffered from diabetes since childhood, has always been candid about his health. When he felt a seizure about to strike Monday, he called out to his listeners.

Gerald Weathers heard the plea and raced to the nearby studio. Since Biggerstaff was the only person working on the holiday, officials contacted another WOHS radio employee to unlock the door. Biggerstaff was found unconscious inside.

"It's quite frankly a bloody miracle that I am here at all," said Biggerstaff, 46.

This isn't the first time a listener has saved the DJ's life. Three years ago, a listener donated a kidney to him when he needed a transplant.

............. we get at least 10 calls a day of people trying 4-1-1 but dial 9-1-1 instead, and they go and ask for the phone number they want even after we explain it's 9-1-1

"JD here is a note on a few things to watch for tonight:

1. If the smoke from the main wire that runs beneath your chair gets worse, go ahead and stamp it out. Use your bare foot, I'd hate for you to ruin a perfectly good shoe."

2. If the keyboard at computer 2 catches fire, hurry put it out! Use your beer!"

3. Don't right-click with the main console mouse, you'll receive a 125 volt shock for some reason? Oh same with the keyboard if it catches fire and you use beer..."
