How do I sound?

System crashed before I went on air.

How's the mic?  Too loud?  Too soft?

Anybody?  Anybody at all?

Woo, you mean there's static on the mic?  Or I broke up staticy because it was too loud?

no i don't think it was too loud. Prolly nothing to worry about. I probably wouldn't even have noticed if I hadn't had to turn it up due to loud mouths around me.

well, keep me updated.  I tweaked a bit.

Turned down the input and turned up the output.  That SHOULD keep the volume up while cutting the static, but let me know if it's no good.

Sounds better than it did when you were first on.  At first it was like you were too close to the mic or something.  Too much power.  Sounds good now.

coolio, thanks LS.

A lot depends on where I'm sitting and if I'm talking too loud or in a normal tone.  These mics are very powerful.  Not like the bargain basement Radio Shack specials we had the first three and a half years biggrin.gif

Honestly D, I was afraid to get myself started.

Not about the cubbies though, I would have ranted about the inept play of the Brewers last night.

did you see that GREAT cubbie misplay though, a pop up to the pitcher, FIVE CUBS within about 5 feet of each other and they all watched it drop thinking one of the other four was gonna grab it!

HILARIOUS.

Too bad our idiot catcher ruined it by jogging to first base.  He SHOULD have been at second but assumed it would be caught.  Million dollar excuses for ballplayers is what they are.  A FRIGGIN LITTLE LEAGUER KNOWS YOU RUN HARD UNTIL THE BALL IS IN THE GLOVE!!!

I hear that Riggs, they all trot up there, and look at the ball. Big no, no, in little league. I remember my softball coach tell us, Never look at the ball, and run hard through the base!!!!

That's one of the things I enjoyed watching the Red Sox / Yankees game on Sunday Darlene.

I'm sure you guys make your share of mistakes, but the heads up, fundamental play of both teams is impressive.

One play that really stood out was a throw from center field by the Red Sox outfielder to home plate.  He kept the throw really  low, allowing for a cutoff man if needed, thus keeping the runner at first from going to second while STILL  having a shot at the guy scoring.

If that had been a Cub OR a Brewer it would have been a high, looping throw, the outfielder never considering the guy at first.

It get's really frustrating.  After high school ball, four years of college ball, and several years in rookie, single A, double A and triple A, you would just think these guys know the fundamentals before they hit the bigs.

I'm sure they do.  It must just be mental lapses in the heat of the moment.  But frustrating as all hell to have to watch.
