Ya just had to get me goin', didn't ya? laughing.gif

It's all about the songwriters, Thump! Meat Loaf is not Jim Steinman, and he's only gonna be as strong as whose music he records. (And of course, the production makes a huge difference - all hail Todd Rundgren...) Although there are some Steinman songs on Bat Out Of Hell 2, they're re-makes, and they're LAME!! And the whole thing felt like a thrown-together blob. That album basically just pi#^%d me off. :lauging:

I am a collector, and I love albums, and full-length CDs. I like to get to know an artist with pictures, and thank-you credits, and lyrics, and most importantly songwriting credits. But you guys are right - it is going back to lbeing more like the early days of rock & roll, where you'd just get singles. The whole industry is changing. The times they are a-changin'! But I don't like downloads. I don't have any. They don't feel tangible.

The new songs were great. It was the lame-ass remakes of perfect masterpieces that ticked me off. Those remakes were SOOOO unnecessary! ESPECIALLY a disappointment after all those years (Those long, hard years) of listening to promises of new a new ML/Steinman album. no.gif

I DID!

Good job Thump.  And thanks for spending some time on air with me.

I have the show mixing down right now, should have it ready to put on CD in about half an hour.

Yes, I did. Love the ABBA song, had forgetten that one. Breakfast Club, my kids (19 and 14) love that movie too. My son has taken all my eighties music and I can't seem to get them back. Crazy kid. Happy Birthday.
