Well the stupid search function still does not work- so here is my own. Bear with me as I show off my new plants. Hopefully in a couple of years the plants will survive and my yard will rock!


Here is my fave new ($40!) bushes that I got for Xmas- bottlebrush-

It went into shock when they were planted, but are getting ready to bloom again!

This is a ruby something, something!

Here is the rose/trellis area that has been hit HARD by the Japanese beetles!

Bottlebrush!  Is it similar to Australian bottlebrush?  I'm surrounded by the stuff which attracts many rainbow lorikeet parrots! aww

They grow rampant all over Australia!  They are also provided for free to plant in your garden to encourage wildlife!  They are an Australian native!  I can't believe ever having to pay for it!  I should try sending you seeds somehow!  smile

I had never seen them before and then last year they started popping up everywhere. Only one store here sells them and they go quick! I love them!

Ruby- I'm suprised your hydrangeas aren't more blue in color. Aren't you in the south where the soil is less acidic and makes them blue?  I have to add stuff to my hydrangeas so they change from pink to a purty purple-blue.

You have a beautiful place!

The plants you chose look great with your landscaping! I love your roses!! And it seems you have a pretty flower near the back of your bottlebrush bushes. ;)
