Good day all!

I am tired and sore this morning. I think I needed more sleep since I beat myself up last night. I'm taking a staff form of tai chi and learned a particularly difficult move last night that just kills my back. She also taught us how to take a shortcut for the people who can't do the move. But I figure, I'm young (the youngest person in the class, maybe even by 10 years) and healthy, there's no reason I shouldn't strive to do it right. I just need to practice the move, build those muscles up (it's great for the abs!), and then I'll be able to do it no problem!

Think of the great workout you are getting Mz, it hurts, but it's a good hurt, if you know what I mean. I am going to gym today after work w/ Kaisha.

Kaisha wants to lose 20 pounds, and since she's turn 21 she is putting a few pounds on. I told her for each 10 she loses I'll give her $100!! As an incentive!

Mornin' Ruby! same ole, same ole for me!

Man, I wish my mom would do that for me! But yeah, that's exactly what I'm thinking, it's an awesome workout!

Good morning everyone!  I've been up since 4:30 this morning...couldn't sleep for some reason and I'm sure I'll be feeling it later on today.

I have to go to the airport this afternoon to pick up my nieces and nephew--they're coming to stay with their dad (my brother) for a few weeks.  My brother works 2nd shift and has to work today then has the time off while his kids are here so I told him I'd pick up the kids and keep them overnight at my house until he comes down tomorrow to get them.

Outside of this, nothing new going on here.  Hope all of you have a great day!!smile

Morning all!

I'll be sure to stay on your good size MZ because it sounds like you're probably ALREADY skilled enough to kick my butt hmm.gif

Darlene, any chance I can get that same deal you're giving Kaisha?

I didn't sleep well at all last night. Tossed, turned, tossed again. At one point I even tried sleeping on my bed in the opposite direction from normal (thought maybe changing it up a little would help), nothing did. I didn't fall asleep until early this morning, and now for some reason I'm up already (normally I'd sleep another 45 minutes).

I did have a goofy dream though that I rented a hotel room by the ocean. It was super windy and I was loving sitting out on the balcony and watching the waves crashing against the beach.

The goofy part was that all the buildings were swaying comically in the wind. Not a little sway, but a big sweeping 45 degree sway back and forth. And they didn't move slowly, they would snap back and forth. The image still makes me chuckle a little.

Ah well, onward with the day!

Just out of curiosity Web, if my day's NOT a good one are you prepared to do something about that for me?

That would depend on what was causing you to have a bad day and what it would take for me to be able to make it better.

Is there something I can do for ya?

Good Morning everyone, still on vacation....if you can call it that. Me and the Pa-In-law dug 15 post holes and set the posts yesterday. We also got the concrete mixed up and poured in. AC was making fun of me this morning because I was taking baby steps towards the bathroom. no.gif

The fence panels haven't come in yet so today might be a rest day (I hope). Everyone have a great day!

It sounds like you are making some progress, Spark. Any bleeding yet? There has to be some bleeding in a big project like that.

It know it seems like a huge task, but just think how nice it will be and how happy AC will be when its done. I bet she'll be so happy that she'll make you a huge dinner, scratch ya behind your ears a while, and after dinner, maybe she'll even give you a little "Meow Mix" . . . if you know what I mean. biggrin.gif

Sparky: House projects are a pain. But the best thing is, that it's yours!!!

Riggs: I wish someone would pay me $100 per 10 pounds I'd shed, I could be at least $500 richer before Christmas........ hmm.gif

I just didn't want Kaisha to gain too much weight. She's has always been thin, and just gaining 20 pounds (all beer she says..lol) is making her self esteem go down!!

just me being flat... think it's cos we're going away this weekend and I have no enthusiasm or motivation to go.... so got in from work and sank...then opened a 3 page from my aunt about my mother's living conditions (based on her first visit to her for years)....she seems to think my sister and i do nothing to help or even know anything about my mum's situation...or our own for that matter...It would have come across better if she had rung me me or my sister to speak instead of her patronising stinky attitudinal letter....so I felt even more angry/miserable after that and just wanna sit here and cry

Sorry Pip, that sucks.  It's always aggrevating when someone isn't involved in something on a close level and then has the nerve to be a critic when they do finally come around and see things!

We're actually dealing with a similar situation in my family right now.

I am sorry Pip. If you know in your heart you are doing the right thing then try to ignore your aunt. My mother in law does stuff like that. Sometimes you have to just ignore things they say and realize it is their problem, not you personally.

Where are you going that you are not motivated about?

To a small West Cumbrian Seaside town tucked away near the Lake District. It is their Bi-annual (does that mean every 2 years) Maritime Festival (which only began after I left there. I lived there from 18 - 26 when I was nursing.

There will be old ships and tall ships, flying displays etc...great in the sunshine (sunburn 2 years ago lol) not so good in the rain

Well I hope that you have a good time, even if you do not want to go. That happens to me a lot- I dread something and then when I am there I am happy!

Glad you stopped bysmile

Since the weather got nice, I've been walking (1.3 miles each way) to my classes.  At first, it was dark when I walked home, now it's still kind of dusk (about 9:30 at night).  There's this one part I walk through that's wooded.  It's small, but I always thought about the villian that could be hiding in the darkness behind a tree or something.  But now I'm walking carrying a 6 foot long, 1 1/4" wide stick.  I almost want someone to try to mess with me now...
