Drinking my first cup of the morning at the computer. Still able to have my windows open since it's not too hot yet. Getting ready to go water my flowers this A.M. I'm fearful of my water bill this month. I wonder if it might exceed the electric bill if this dry spell doesn't pass. Ex has the kids today so no big plans. I like to piddle around the house as much as possible. Last night I went to a local bluegrass festival with my parents. They LOVE that stuff. I can take it for a few hours, but I'm not going back with them today. My mom and I were laughing last nigt. It was lots of overalls and buck dancing. Mom said, "This is what people think of when they think if Tennessee and Kentucky". I immediately thought of my forum friends, especially JD, and thought how horrified they would have been had he been stuck there with me for the night.
Yeah, bluegrass is my very least favorite music. I went out to eat with a friend last night and then came back here and watched "Ghost Rider". I woke up at 6:30 and couldn't go back to sleep, so I decided to get on the computer. It is supposed to be warm here today with thunderstorms.
Aaaahhh, thunderstorms. One of my favorite things to do with my younger daughter is sitting in the porch swing watching and listening to the storms as they pass through. My dogs are huge chickens when it comes to storms but my gir(ls) love them just like me.
Is Ghost Rider any good? I'm not huge Nick Cage fan. "The Rock", no that comedy movie he did with Holly Hunter and the baby, THAT was my favorite movie of his. OK, it's driving me nuts. Wake up everybody... I need to know the name of that movie. Do you know which one I mean Firefly?
Best movies I've seen lately were "Little Miss Sunshine" and "Holiday". I didn't care for "Half Nelson" and "Good Shepherd" was just OK. I did like "Deja Vu" with Denzel Washington. My days of seeing new releases at theaters are over. Not in my single family budget anymore.
I probably ought to update my "Introduce Yoursgelf" page. Hit the 14 year mark in August, separated in September and my court date is now set for September 19th so hopefully everything will be finalized at that time. Ex and I are fairly amicable right now. Once I realized there wasn't anything I could do to bring him home, I had to let him go. The other woman is now out of the picture but he seems to still want to see what's out there and searching for that "Something" that's going to make him "Happy".
Good Morning everyone, high of 85 today. We are putting the fence panels up today....wish me luck that I have all my fingers and toes when done. Have a great Saturday.

TG: I am so glad you and your mom were able to laugh last night. Life does need to go on, they say. You know like you've said before. Why try to make someone love you, or make someone happy. He certainly had a taste of the "single" life and for what is worth, it can fun, especially if you are selfish. He apparently is very selfish. He never once thought about your feelings or the kids. Now that you could have him back, why bother. I say in 6 months, he's regretting his whole decision. And his life isn't all that it's cracked up to be. He's never going find anyone to replace the mother of his children, and as hard as he tries, you'll always have to be in his life.
I just hope you meet someone yourself down the road who will treat you just as you treat him, and give you everything you deserve.
We're getting ready to go to Kearney to see mom-in-law.
She got out of the hospital and is back in the nursing home. By going from the hospital to the nursing home, Medicare will pay for the next 90 days of the nursing home. That will save her $3,600/month for the next three months.
Man, this is my first time inside for any length of time (except for sleeping) since I got off of work yesterday. I love summer!
Last night, when I got home, I took the turtles outside and let them wander about the yard for a few with Zippy, the neighbor's tortoise. Then after taking the turtles in, we took the cats outside for a while. Then I picked up supper (thai for me, gyros for Brian). Then after supper, we sat outside with our other neighbors until it was practically bedtime! Then this morning, we went out shopping, and now laundry is in. I think when I get off the computer, I may go swimming for a bit. But then I need to bake some cookies for my dad, since we're going to go visit him tomorrow.
