Yesterday, in a continuing show of their lack of class, the Cubbies outfielder Alfonso Soriano showed up the Padres by hitting a long homer and instead of running he stood at the plate and admired his work, then ran his first four steps backwards to first base.
Today the Padres pitcher drilled the Cubs first baseman Derek Lee in the arm (not sure if it was intentional or not), but as Lee walked to first base he took a swing at the Padres pitcher. A bench clearing brawl ensued and Lee was thrown out of the game. Atleast a 3 day suspension is in his near future too.
Then the Cubbies pitcher Zambrano took a no-hitter into the 8'th inning before losing it, and in the 9'th he gave up a solo homer.
Cubbies lose 1-0 despite their pitcher getting a complete game and giving up only 2 hits.
