California-born pop-diva Tiffany Darwisch hit the music scene in the late '80s, crooning teenage dance-pop covers under her first name, to great, albeit short, success.
She grew up listening to country music, and began her music career as a young country singer, crooning West Coast honky tonk at the Palomino, and appearing on the "Ralph Emery Show."
But by age 13, Tiffany had turned to pop music. At 14, she signed a deal with MCA records, and in 1987 she released a self-titled debut.
It quickly went quadruple-platinum on the strength of two consecutive number one hits, "I Think We're Alone Now," and "Could've Been."
Well, I'll give my opinion. I found it unremarkable. Nothing really grabbed me. One song this afternoon grabbed me enough to see who it was because I didn't like it.
Hey, did I ever tell you about the time I defeated 108 enemy soldiers all by myself armed with nothing more than my handy pocket knife?
It was Veitnam, 1966. My platoon had gone out for Baskin Robbins, but I stayed in the jungle to keep watch on the camp. Suddenly, I was ambushed. Everywhere I looked there were enemy soldiers.
I was sure I was gonna die, then I remembered something Jeremy said to me before I enlisted. He said "Eagle, when your back is against the wall, and you think you can't possibly survive, remember your swiss army knife has over twenty three uses, one for nearly every occassion".
The memory inspired me. I took on those 108 enemy soldiers and eliminated every last one of them. A toothpick to the eye, a corkscrew to the chest, so on and so on, you get the picture.
Jeremy might well of saved my life that day in 'Nam. That's something you just don't forget.

Wasn't JR born in '68? Wow, that's pretty powerful work there, unborn and giving you advice!
Well, even though I'm a Tiffany fan, I have to say this CD was NOT GOOD.
I was very disappointed this weekend. I wish I hadn't spent $11.00 on it
A real disappointment after some of the very successful New Music Weekends we've had recently from REO Speedwagon and Bon Jovi.
Next week though is the new Kelly Clarkson. I already listened to half of it and I'll be shocked if everyone doesn't find something they like in it, EVEN JD!
As I've told you before I have a totally NEW ADDICTION to new music!! I spend hours at night just listening to various artists on MySpace! I love it! Well I dont' love all the stuff I'm listening too, but I love listening to new stuff!! And new artists!! There is some great talent out there!
That's how I found Britney Christian, Luan Parle & Taylor Swift (before she was famous).
MySpace is very exciting and sure to be yet another nail in the coffin of the record labels. Expecially now that MySpace is allowing people to see their music directly through them.
