Good Morning everyone, triple digit temps today and the air conditioning isn't working. It was a busy weekend of working around the house. Have a good one.

Morning all. I have to get the first of a series of injections for my hand today I HATE those things! I didn't sleep well at all last night, so I am dragging. I might go each lunch with my best friend later.

I guess I'll go mow. I can probably get my 1.2 acres here at the shop mowed before Ally even gets out of bed.

Looks like I got my mowing done before Ally got out of bed. Ah, to be able to sleep 11 hours a day . . . that must be nice.

I can just hear little A now: "Mommy stuck to bed?"

Hey, no wonder it's so quiet around here.  Where the hell is Woo?

I thought she was just taking Thursday and Friday off, I don't recall her saying anything about Monday?

I have no paper work here requesting today off   WHAT GIVES?

I'll vouch for her! She did call me about 10:00 and tell me it was all my fault! So I know she was dealing with a grumpy kid, anytime A acts like a two year old it's my fault or it will be my fault or it should've been my fault!

Wow, sounds like Monday has all the charm of sandpaper for you folks today   Hope it gets better!

I had an interesting day - I moved to my new office (no promotion, just relocating our space) and sat around waiting for them to hook everything up and finish constructing my cubicle. That kinda sucked, but i now have a window spot with a glorious view of the parking lot. Hahaha! Then I interviewed more candidates for a position in our department.   It's finally slowed down and I accomplished NOTHING that i needed to today. Day's over - ah well, back to the drawing board!

Hahaaaaa! Now that you mention it, they DID get my drawing board (my dry erase board) and my new smelly markers set up in my office! Yay! Now if I could just get the company to buy me an adult Green Machine I'd be ready to roll...

Man, hopefully life will be back to normal soon!

Friday afternoon we made the hour drive to Indy for Brian's EEG. When we get there, they had trouble finding the appointment, but they eventually found it. Then, they said the machine wasn't working right, and that we'd have to come back Monday morning! (Personally, I think they just lost his appointment and didn't want to stay late. How's the machine going to fix itself over the weekend?)

Then Friday night and Saturday all day I had a huge tai chi workshop with Grandmaster William C.C. Chen. It was really fun! I not only learned form, but we also did self defense and pushing and punching. I SOO need a slam man so I can practice! I think I impressed Grandmaster Chen too!

But Sunday was the interesting day. I had tai chi classes in the morning, a 4 hour break, and then classes again in the afternoon. During the break, we were going to go to the rock and gem show with some friends. We all piled into their car, which broke down on the way there. I helped push it out of the road. I was pushing from the front passengers side, when the person on the back passenger side decided it would be easier if she shut the door, RIGHT ON MY FINGERS! (She apologized profusely, she didn't see where my hands were.) By time we got it out of the road, waited for the tow truck, and got back, not only did we miss going to the gem show, but I had to hurry up and eat lunch so I could go back to tai chi. So I decided to make a frozen pizza, but since my fingers hurt, I was having a hard time cutting it when I took it out of the oven, and then BURNT MY PINKY FINGER! (Enough to make it blister too.)

So now I'm beat up and bruised from more than just tai chi, and we had to make the drive back to Indy again. I'm working late all week so I can make up some of the time I lost. I need a vacation from life!
