My mom used to get so mad at me when I was little because i delighted in storms and did everything I could to play in the rain. I loved watching the lightning flash and hearing the deep rumblings of the sky.

I scared of big storms. But I went out for the lightning storm the other night. It wasn't booming then. There were fireflies out too!
yeah we fireflies aren't scared of storms. it's funny because when it storms here everybody takes shelter (as they should), but when i was at the beach, everybody was just walking around ignoring the lightning. maybe they think they can't get struck since they are on vacation
i don't mind the storms as long as the wind doesn't get wild. i do love to watch the lightning, tho. my middle one used to be scared of storms terrible when he was younger, but now he's ok.
my mother hides in the closet...

Maybe they didn't know any better. Thunderstorms are different in the risks of touching ground for different areas of the US. Or, they could just being dumb. {{lol}}
