GREENWOOD, Ind. -- Police said a man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Friday morning after a repossession agent tried to take his car.According to the Johnson County Sheriff's Department, Robert Parks, 63, was ejected from his Chevrolet HHR on Peterman Road, just north of Smith Valley Road, and died at the scene.Witnesses told police that Parks was driving too fast, slid through a curb, hit several mailboxes and struck a utility pole. Police said an employee of Diversified Recovery went to Peterson's home to try to repossess the car when Parks jumped in and took off.The employee followed Parks for a while but lost sight of the car before the crash, police said.
