I must find a way to get my new word into the dictionary!

Websters announced that among 100 new words added to the dictionary this year, they are including the combined "Gigantic" and "Enormous", know here on the forum as "Ginormous"

This is a precident!  I should now be able to get "Homid" or "Homidity" (Hot & Humid, Heat & Humidity) added to the dictionary!

Anyone know wh I call?

They added crunk too, it's a form of hip hop.

I forget all the new words, but there was some real slang terms thrown in this year.

They're trying to ditch their stodgy old image. Maybe we can revisit Jesse Jacksons ebonics concept now? confused.gif Seems like the environment is finally right.

I'm open to change and evolution but I kinda like my dictionary to be stodgy.  And I see they added "nocebo".....
no·ce·bo\n-s-b\
Function: noun
Etymology: Latin, I will be harmful; after placebo
Date: 1961

: a harmless substance that when taken by a patient is associated with harmful effects due to negative expectations or the psychological condition of the patient

In my day we called that a hallucination...?disbelief.gif

Oh man...the Australian dictionary is about to be rewritten if things go ahead as planned!  The literacy council has announced that they are considering teaching kids the American form of English as the proper English is considered too hard for kids to learn these days!  weirdface I just think the kids are too lazy to learn!

I don't want the language to change!  I love spelling neighbour with a U, colour with a U, tyre with a y and spelling metre and fibre with the r and e around the other way!  And all the other words we seem to spell differently!

I don't want it to change! cry
