I'm just sayin'....  He's laughing all the way to the bank. 

And there is no shame in making it big in other countries.  I mean, look at Japan.  They STILL worship all of the 80's pop-metal bands.  Hanoi Rocks are HUGE over there!

I don't begrudge a man for making a living, if people will buy it then more power to him.

I'm not big on trying to maintain "an image" so to speak, but my main point with my original comment was that I think stuff like that is when he crossed over from being an actor into being a punchline.

But like you said, he gets to laugh all the way to the bank. I'd rather be rich AND respected, but I could live with just rich

Besides, even though every late night comedian uses him as an ongoing joke, there's still a "cool" quality to him. It's hard to describe, but there's people that get made fun of because they're really thought lowly of, and then there's people that get made fun of because they're kind of cool in their dorkiness. I think Hasselhoff fits into the last one. Plus, his last name is just a good name to use in a joke :)

OK, I just changed my mind.  I LOVE THAT SONG!

The video makes it all better!  I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!

Obviously he's aware it's a dorky song and he's having fun with it. 

 

In the video (song) there's a line where the girls sing "We know you're game"

and I can't help but hear it as "We know you're gay"



I do like the video though.  It's funny.
