The next time youre wondering about how you can be alerted of a fire in your home, be on the look out for spiders.

ABC News reported that spiders actually helped to save the life of one woman, who may have been seriously harmed in a house fire. While in her bedroom, she suddenly noticed an increasing amount of spiders appearing near ceiling lights. Not exactly a big fan of arachnids, she went to her sisters room. But only a few hours later, the household realized from the odor of smoke that her bedroom was actually on fire. Apparently the fire started in the attic and the spiders, to escape the heat of the flames, headed down to the young ladys bedroom. Subsequently, the flames spread to that exact area. Thanks to the spiders, the woman and her family are safe and she has sworn that she will never kill another spider again.
