Good morning.

We're up and getting ready to go. We'll take the dog to the vet at 8:00 (kennel), then head South to the farm to deposit the boy into the care of his grandpa. He is really excited about spending the weekend with grandpa/grandma. He told us last night that he was ready for a little break away from us. lol

We should be in Lincoln a little before noon. We'll eat lunch there, mess around a while, then head on to Omaha. We have a room reserved in "Gretna" which is a small town on I80 between Lincoln and Omaha. We'll stop there and chill a while then go on in to Omaha to the concert later.

I'll check back in once we get settled in the motel this afternoon if not before. smile.gif

Good morning all!  Sorry I've been MIA most of the week......I've been off playing an RPG on playstation all week and it kinda consumed me, haha.  Anyway, thought I'd take a break from it this morning and drop in to say hello.

Web, I hope you and your wife enjoy the concert and have a great time! 

Firefly, good luck with the car washing.......seems every time I wash mine, it rains not long after I'm done.  hmm

Don't ya just hate that!  The forecast can be calling for a nice sunny day but as soon as you wash your car, it rains.  And if it doesn't rain, a nice clean car is a beacon for a flock of birds to fly over and drop their bombs on it.  Never happens when your car is all nasty dirty though.  Must be another one of Murphy's Laws.

You haven't missed much Sandy, it's like everyone is on vacation from the forum anyway, with the exception of Riggs & Firefly.

Everyone else is off doing things, and it's like a ghost town in here.

I haven't seen DS, Ruby, TG, LS or Sparky really all that much at all lately. Even AC just comes in once a day but it's usually brief.

JD is hardly here, but when he is he's been very quiet.... go figure. hmm.gif

Hello all! Well I had to my eye exam and ordered my new glasses. Let me say ouch. Then we went to lunch. I didn't feel well after eating and took a short nap on the couch. Now I am doing some picking up aroung here and some computer work. My husband is working on finishing off closing off our bedroom.

Mark went in to work today at short notice, I lazed around for a while and then met up with a school friend who goes back 30 years and more. We sat in pub drinking Diet Pepsi then off she went back to her hotel and family Golden Wedding do...
Now I am stuffed having had tea ready for my man coming home...
Tomorrow will come the house cleaning...

Hello from near Omaha. smile.gif

It rained on us about 1/2 of the way here, and then was cloudy and of and on drizzle after that. Nice, cool, cloudy driving weather. smile.gif

We're at the motel and resting a little before we head on in for the concert. The concert starts at 8:00 with "The Wreckers" warming up for Keith. It should be fun.

I told Mrs Web that I was expecting some chicken and potatoes tonight and she asked if she could just buy me a another bass instead. I agreed.

No, really I just made the biggest impulse purchase I've ever made. We stopped at the Guitar Center in Lincoln and was just looking around. She's been wanting to find a used left-handed acoustic guitar to learn on.

Hanging on the wall was this beautiful curly maple top, five string Yamaha bass with a red tag on it that said "Clearance". It was marked down to a little below 1/2 the normal sale price and 1/3 retail price. I had actually looked at this particular model before thinking "maybe someday".

The salesman got it down for me and I plugged it into a nice big 4x10 bass cabinet and it sounded sweet. The whole time, I was like, I don't need this, but its nice. My wife kept asking me, do you like it? I was about to hang it back up on the wall and she kept saying, its our 20th anniversary, I want you to have it. SO, being the nice, obedient guy that I am, in my quest to please her, I handed the salesman the credit card and walked out the door with another bass.

We've got a king sized bed in the motel here, it looks like there will be enough room for the three of us in the bed.
