My eyeglasses problem

Earlier on I talked about having trouble adjusting to my new glasses and script. I got reexamined and I tested again for the script they just gave me. We decided that I would try them for longer. I had no trouble with them over the weekend. I was on the computer at home as well. Back at work- and I have a problem. It's not as bad as it was so I think part of that was still adjusting to them. However my eyes still hurt. I started looking at what is different than home. I think it is the florescent lights that are directly above me at work. When I place something in between me and the direct light, the pain seems to go away. So right now I am sitting at my 'puter with my hoodie up. Tomorrow I will wear a hat and fully test it out. But I have no idea why this is happening. These glasses are the same material as my old ones. hmm


*well I was sitting with my hoodie up but I became to hot, so now I am back to squinting. hmm

I would definitely talk to your boss- they should accommodate that for you. Maybe even with a lamp at your desk and removal the lighting above you.

there are times that I feel light sensitive to flourescent lights as well. they hurt.

well my supervisor was up here asking me if I was cold due to the hoodie. I told her about it and she laughed and said that there may be a visor in the gift cabinet. I share an office. I doubt that they would remove the lights. And my only alternative is to move my computer putting my back to everyone and allowing everyone to see my screen. With the room I have and the type of desk I don't see many choices. But maybe someone else will see an option that I don't.

funny, my supervisor is the Director of HR. But maybe I will have to bring it up at another time- once I know for sure.

What type of computer screen do you have? If you have the old tube type, you might be having a problem with the glare too.

Try chaging the tilt of the screen....that may allow the florescent bulbs to NOT get onto the screen....

1. you need to look at the curve of the front of the lens....make sure they are the same curve. Sometimes a different base curve can cause that.

2. look at the front of both pairs of glasses, do they have the same face form ie..the way the frame wraps around your face.

3. look at the way the bottom of the lens sits in relation to your cheek, if the new ones are further away it makes light reflect more.

4. also look at the reflection of the lights in the lenses is it white? or colored? if the light is white in you new ones and colored in the old....it could be a anti-glare coating. My bet is on this one....its a little more money for the coating but makes life alot nicer to look through.

I'll have to check this later. All I know is that I have a hat on today and so far so good.

I know the new frames are the same style but they are a bit bigger. They are magic clip frames.

I thought that both glasses had the anti-glare on them due to my computer job.

take your glasses off...and look at the reflection from the flourescent lights in the lens...I bet they didnt get the coating on them hmm.gif it should look colored...(blue green or purple) if its white...thats the problem.
