Ok, actually it's a bug in the machine, but I was trying to keep with a musical theme for thread titles (ala Ruby's "Til Tuesday" thread).
I just found out why sometimes songs are not doubled up.
Of course, if the artist only has one song in the playlist, there's nothing TO double up.
But I also noticed that Lady Strange had her request for Hanson NOT doubled up. It turns out it's because someone else requested a song only about 7 seconds after she did.
The way the system works is that when you select a song it goes to the bottom of the queue. Every 30 seconds the two-fer program checks the bottom of the queue and if a new song is there it adds the second one. Therefore, when the program checked the queue it only saw the song chosen AFTER Lady Stranges song.
So now ya know
Now I gotta figure out why the system followed Ruby's request for BARRY MANILOW "Reminiscing" with LITTLE RIVER BAND "Reminiscing"
There's plenty of Barry on the playlist, but for some reason in that instance the system instead chose to double up the song title
First of all, the Police reference worked - I opened it!
Secondly, I for one am really glad to know the reason for the occassional one-fer. Because we were always wondering. Thanks, Riggs.
