CHANGES to the MySpace Stream

I was about to cancel this stream last night.  It gets only moderate use (1 -5 people at a time tuned in) and we earn NO revenue from it, it's pure expense.  Not much, but $12.00 a month adds up over time.

At any rate, when preparing to cancel it I realized I could drop the price from $12.00 to $6.00 a month by cutting the sound quality from 32k to 16k, so that's what I've done.  If it still gets use at that price I may keep it.  If I notice even fewer tuning in to it then I'll get rid of it.

I know a few people like Cheese use it to listen at work, so I'm sorry for the poorer sound quality, but I don't think it's too horrible compared to the regular stream.

I just checked it out and I kind of like it! Its a bit more like background music now. Not sure how it will come across on ear-phones, but from my laptop speakers I liked it. Softer....

Yeah, it's not really a "BAD" sound, just not as deep & rich as the normal stream.  A little more like FM radio, while the regular stream I think is closer to CD.

But after all, the MySpace stream is supposed to be a teaser to get em' to tune in to the regular stream, so this might be a good thing.

 Excellent!

I was always impressed with how good it sounded at 32k.  I thought it sounded NO different from the Live365 64k stream.

At 16k I think it sounds slightly worse than the Live365 stream, but not by much
