Aloe?

little A has had a rash off and on for three weeks....I cant figure out what is causing it. Is anyone allergic to aloe? I noticed that almost everything shampoo, lotion (even the cream the Dr said to use on it) contain aloe. I didnt put anything on her until late last night and she was better. This morning she is worse again...(I put aloe gel on her after her bath last night) I used three different creams on her just now...one with aloe on one leg...one without on the other and the prescription cream on her hands and arms. I just wondered if anyone has experience with this sort of thing. confused

You don't want to hear my answer...

I've always had that problem, still do. I thought I was allergic to lanolin or lavender. Turns out it was the corn that's in practically everything.

I also have a friend with that problem, and she's allergic to a preservative that's apparently in a lot of lotions (particularly Oil of Olay) and also in mayonnaise.

If it's that big of a problem, it would probably be worth a trip to an allergist or a dermatologist.

And it could be nothing lotion related.  She could be getting the rash from a food allergy or sensitivity.

Aw, poor thing! It could be so many things. Did this start after you moved? Does it seem to get irritated during the night? Any change in detergents/cleaning products, air quality, or even the aloe could cause it. The doc probably needs to run allergy tests. Little kids sometimes get this stuff because of a virus, too - instead of being sick with the symtoms we are used to, it affects the skin and can go on for weeks.

Maybe it's the "Parabens" in soaps and lotions...ny cousin has a bit of an allergy like that...
