Morning all!  Summer has decided it's not quite finished here in MI yet.....supposed to be in the 80's for the rest of this week and next.  Yay!!  Now if I could just find a way to enjoy a little time outside without the wasps bothering me every time I step out the door I'd be all set.

I would take that over this one.



I was outside with litte A and talkin with the neighbor lady...another neighbor lady came and took allison across the street where the other kids were....I didnt pay any attention for a few minutes then my parents came and asked where she was...we went across the street to get her and she was gone. We looked all over for her and then got a phone call from a guy that she was at a co-worker of my moms house that is a few miles away. We were told that they took her because I dont watch her. I flipped out on the guy and said I was going to have him arrested for abduction ect....

It was alot more drawn out than that but thats the main part of the story. I dont get the whole not watching her thing...we are OVER protective...she is never out of our sight. Our neighbors just let their kids run wild....and I follow her everywhere she goes.

Happy Hump Day.

We went to the "Harlem Ambassadors" game last night. I had been told that this was the "Harlem Globetrotters" under a new name . . . not so, I'm sure they are a cheap knock-off of the Globetrotters.

They played basketball against an assembly of "local celebrities". It was alright, the boy enjoyed it, but the Globetrotters, it was not.


Saturday, we stopped in Target for a bit while down to visit mom-in-law. All day long, the boy had been pushing every button he could find on both of us. Mrs Web went into the changing room to try on a couple things while he and I waited outside. He was not staying close to me and not paying attention at all . . . no matter how much I told him to stay close.

One time as he was wandering around, I stepped around to the other side of the rack of clothes just to where I could see him but he couldn't see me. It took him about 30 seconds to realize he'd lost me. It started with a quiet "Dad?". Then a louder "Dad?!" Then he got a worried look on his face and started looking for me. I bet it only lasted another 30 seconds before I let him find me, but he was getting pretty upset pretty fast. It was just enough to make him think and he quit wandering around.

Ah, I remember doing that to my sister, and I remember my mom doing that to me. Every kid needs that reality check at least once.

i'm getting a tazer!biggrin

i remember getting "lost" in tg&y when i was about 4ish.  and i still have dreams.  except i'm not a child in them.  it must have been very traumatic.

I made it, had a girlie appointment this am. It was not good. That lump in my breast is still there. I have an appointment for an ultrasound and a diagnostic mammogram on October 1st. Prayers please. Gonna get the Essure procedure done soon too- that is an easier tube tying that goes in vaginally. No more little Zs and Es for me!
