Got any advice on how to treat giant puffy raccoon eyes? I REALLY looked in the mirror yesterday and I saw how awful they look. Today was the same. I have never seen them get this bad. I won't be able to get some extra sleep until the weekend. Well I napped when I got home yesterday but that is because I had a splitting headache. cry

Try putting some cold cucumber slices on your eyes.......the combination of the coldness and the liquid from the cukes usually help with the puffiness.  If you don't have any, ice cubes wrapped up in a wash cloth work too.

My skin is light, so I have always had black under my eyes.  Not puffy though- hmm.  I've heard Preparation H is what is used on models and actresses.  I've also heard that placing cucumbers on your eyes for a bit helps that.

Try to limit salt too- I read yesterday that too much sodium makes water build up in the sinus/eye cavity.

something i heard about soaking camomile teabags and using as a compress.
but i can't remember if cold or warm.  cold sounds logical.

i've used warm tea bags of licorice tea for pink eye discomfort, but haven't tried the camomile for puffy eyes...

Also, in absence of cucumber slices, I've used tea bags (black, green, and herbal). Just wet them with some cold water (I usually put them in the freezer for a few minutes).
