I DO feel bad for you and Mo. But you still had the White Sox.

I just hate EVERYTHING about the Cubs.

The players, the management, and mostly the fans and the press.

80% of the people that responded to a Chicago Sun Times poll have said the Cubs are gonna lose.

The fans and the media were talking after they won the division about how they were the best team in the field (amazing when you're only 6 games over .500) and the World Series was gonna happen this year.

ONE loss in the playoffs and they all started turning on them.

FICKLE, FICKLE, FICKLE.

Undeserving fans watching a bunch of hired guns, baseball sl*ts if you will, that were just brought together to try and buy a championship.

These aren't the lovable losers of the 80's. These guys are the New York Yankees of the N.L., but without any baseball people running the show.

Growing up my home was a Sox only team, but now that I have moved I pull for both. But with the Bears sucking like they have, I was hoping the Cubs would be my bragging right this year! cry

You know, the funny thing is I LOVED the Cubs in the 80's when I was a teenager going out to play baseball every day, every summer.

I had a Cubs jersey and I wanted to be Ryne Sandburg, Rick Sutcliffe, Ron Santo, heck, I woulda been happy to be Steve Trout!

But those guys were truly lovable losers that played the game the right way. Todays group is just over-payed selfish whiners that I hope never get rewarded with a championship.

No. It was our family picnic. All the kids that were 16 or under had to leave the yard and the parents dumped like $200 worth of change all over the grass. Then they'd let us back in and we'd get to "find" it all

It was a fun game, and being one of the older, bigger kids, I cleaned up!

They're still not out yet..... just remember the 2004 playoffs when the Red Sox were down 3-0 against the Yankees, and we came back to win 4 straight.

Dead goat hung from Harry statue

Holy cow! What's that hanging from Harry's arm?

Someone hung what appears to be a dead, skinned goat from the Harry Caray statue outside of Wrigley Field earlier this week.

A grainy video of the hanging carcass made its way onto YouTube, and thousands of people have now watched a 14-second clip of a Chicago Police officer cutting it down.

Gary Yamashiroya, commander of the Chicago Police district that includes Wrigley, said officers were called out to the ballpark at 5:35 a.m. Wednesday to check out reports of something hanging from the bronze statue, which sits near the corner of Addison and Sheffield.

The animal appeared to be from a butcher shop, but Yamashiroya said: "I certainly hope someone didn't kill a goat for a practical joke."

Cubs spokesman Peter Chase said, "The Cubs are aware of it, but we don't have any comment."

If the prankster intended to reverse the supposed billy goat curse with the stunt, it doesn't appear to have worked. The Cubs are 0-2 and on the brink of elimination from the playoffs since the cops got Harry's goat.

The YouTube video also shows several signs hanging around the statue's neck, including one that says, "Go Cubs Go." The dead animal was hanging from the statue's outstretched right arm.

Jokesters have been known to stick beer cans in the statue's left hand.

A friend of the legendary broadcaster said, "Harry never believed in the goat" curse and wouldn't have liked the dead goat stunt.

"He wouldn't have been happy at all," the friend said. "It's one thing to put a Budweiser can in his hands. Harry would have loved that. He needs to be cleansed now."
