I think I actually LOVE Time Warner Cable today!

I called Time Warner looking to drop my monthly bill.

With no station running and my internet usage dropping, my big thing was I thought maybe I could lower my Roadrunner.  They have two levels, one at 7 MB speed and one at 3 MB speed.

The one I have is 40 a month.  My cable bill overall is now at around 115 and that just seems excessive.

Anyway, I told the woman I wanted to see what I could do to lower my bill and mentioned the lower roadrunner service.  She said that one is 30 a month, but she could let me have the service I have now at that same price for 12 months.

WOO HOO!  $120.00 saved!

Then, she says "Let me see what else I can do".   She hits a few keys and says she can give me my DVR for free for six months! 

WOO HOO!  $ 60.00 saved!

Then, as I'm telling her how happy I am with the changes that are gonna drop my bill under $100 a month finally, she throws in a year of all the HBO channels for free!

I think this is the first time I ever got off the phone with Time Warner Cable that I wasn't in a foul mood!

ha make sure you get all that in writing. it must be her last day.smile

I thought the day would never come, but I am seriously thinking of dropping my phone land-line. I rarely use it, and its just nothin but a monthly bill. to do that, I would need to switch my internet back to cable. I hopes I get that lady when I do so.smile

that's awesome JR! Now I gotta wonder about fees though. I got a good deal( not from them) until I got my bill. hmm


JD- Do you have a decent cell phone? If you are gonna drop your landline please make sure you have a good backup just in case something happens.

JR, get her name and send them a message on what great service you got from her. These places need to know how much we love good customer service and people like that.

Woo,

I specifically asked for a total after fees and such. My old bill was 117, my new bill is 93. I'm quite pleased.

I think I made her feel pretty good smile.gif In fact, I think my raving about her customer service is why she threw in a year of free HBO and HBO on Demand smile.gif

But I may send a letter to. I am just so thoroughly impressed. I called looking to cut service to save money, I wound up saving a lot of money and having MORE services.

The nice thing was, she took it upon herself to find ways to cut my costs with as little or no impact on me.

Very cool.

I think it's worth a letter. I think companies need to know that we appreciate that kind of service. Maybe we'll get more of it.
