It sounds like we had similar days yesterday, Woo. People kept interrupting me trying to get their project pushed up. I finally said that nothing's getting done because I keep getting interrupted, and people left me alone. So today's still busy, but no where near as bad as the rest of the week has been.

I'm up and ready to face the world today

First though I volunteered to drive Landlady to her eye appointment. They dialated her eyes the other day and she's not supposed to drive. She's got no family so she turned to me. I said "Hey, no problem! Only two dollars a mile!". She countered with "How's about I just don't terminate your lease and throw you out on your a**?". I thought that was a reasonable offer and a deal was born!

present and accounted for yawn the last couple nights i've been going to bed early -- 9 pm, but i've been waking up between 1 & 1:30 and then cannot fall back asleep! this morning when i finally did, i was dreaming that ultimo (who looked like hugh grant) came to the US to get his driving permit, but he had to volunteer at a grade school with field day, by creating an obstacle course weirdface

I went to bed at 9:00 last night too! I haven't done that forever! I had a dream a very large black man was trying to carry me out of the house. I told him to go back and get my shoes. Then I tried to climb through a tiny window onto the roof. I made it and AC and Little A were wondering what and the heck was going on.

Wow, I just got a very nice reply back from Kroger from my complaint that they wouldn't cash my check. It's nice when a company actually cares about customer service.

Now, i don't know what good an American driving permit would do in the UK -- you'd be driving on the wrong side of the street

what did I miss

I didn't get a chance to go to the bank during the day last Friday and we were leaving first thing in the morning on Saturday, so I went to Kroger to cash my check.

They've cashed payroll checks for me without a problem. Last time I had to fill out a bunch of forms, scan my fingerprint, etc., to get in their new system. So I did, and they cashed my check. They said that the next time I just give them my check and ID, they scan my fingerprint, and I get my cash at any Kroger in the area.

Well, I went to a different Kroger on Friday, and they pull up my info, scan my fingerprint, and it matches. But then the lady frowns and asks me to fill out the paperwork again. I still had the old paperwork on me, so I whip it out, she scans it and my check, and then tells me that I have to wait 7 days before they can cash my check because someone put it in wrong the first time. I asked if there was someone else I could speak to about it, and she told me it wouldn't help, she can't cash it for 7 days. She suggested that I go back to the Kroger I originally signed up at.

So I leave, go to that Kroger, and they didn't even run me through their system, because they didn't have enough cash to cover my check.

I left, did my grocery shopping at a different store, and then went home and wrote Kroger an email.

Not yet, but this just happened last Friday. The message back apologized multiple times and said the district manager was going to contact me.

I really don't care if I get freebies, I would rather just be able to rely on them.

Good movie, but you gotta pay attention to keep up. You can't be making googlie eyes at your boy/girl friend and still be able to know what's going on.
