You may have already caught on, but we've started our New Music Weekend, this weekend featuring the brand new CD from Duran Duran "RED MARKET MASSACRE"

I've always been a HUGE Duran Duran fan, well actually, I'm a huge fan of ANYTHING 80's that tries to comeback.

I love the Astronaut album and was so excited to have an opportunity to play the new singles as they were released here on the station. I always say it was my dream to be a DJ and a couple years ago when those songs were new it REALLY was like it was 1985 when I'd be able to say on air "Here's the new single from Duran Duran"

That Astronaut album sold GREAT and had two hit singles in "Reach Up For The Sunrise" and "What Happens Tomorrow". It had an updated sound but still was rooted in the 80's.

Sadly, Double D decided they wanted a new, younger audience, so they teamed up with Justin Timberlake and Timbaland on this disc.

The critics are panning it. I'm FINALLY warming up to the first single, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed the CD ain't gonna SUCK OUT LOUD!
