I have a techie question

I had Imageshack quickloader on my computer. I don't need it but with all these server problems it is now causing a problem since they switched servers. I can't right click on certain things without getting an error. The tech guy discovered this and did not know what imageshack is. It will not let me uninstall it. I think it is because it is works with IE6 and I have 7. I was trying to resolve this myself before he gets back and sees that it did not uninstall. I don't want to get busted with anything. It's a new tech guy and I'm sure he would rat me out. Is there any other way to delete the program without going through remove programs? It brought up a bunch of stuff in the registry when I did a search but I wouldn't know what was safe to delete. I tried to print a couple of print screens to show you all but it won't let me right click it to edit the size and stuff. hmm

I'm hoping web has a better answer, but if not, what I do in that case is open msconfig and uncheck from the services and the startup anything that appears related to that program. Atleast then it no longer runs.

Sorry, but I don't know anything about that program.

JR's advice is good. You may be able to stop it from running with msconfig.

If Add/Remove programs won't get rid of it, I'd probably start Googling the actual name of the program and look for manual removal instructions.

In the registry, You'd probably be safe to look for things related to it that might give a hint that it is the "run on boot" instruction. If you find a registry entry that looks like that and it has a value of "1", I'd try changing that to "0" and reboot to see if that stopped it.

My IT guy at work never resolved this problem for me. It drives me crazy. I get a similar error to this one posted almost everytime I right click- mostly on photos I have on my computer but it happens for other things too. Does anyone know what it means? Either option I choose doesn't change anything. I tried looking online but got very little help. Something about Microsoft NET Framework? Is this something I need? I see it listed in my programs but I don't know what it is for. Oh I think I finally got the imageshack off my computer but I'm not sure if this Network thing was part of it or not. If you have any info great. But I'm really not expecting anyone to understand what I just posted. I'm just going crazy. cry

I don't know what may be causing it, Woo. It may be time for a data backup, total wipe and restore.

If you can afford the time to do it, I bet you'd be surprised how well the computer runs again.

Well I guess I just have to live with it. The tech guy is rarely ever here. I can't do that to my computer due to how it is set up. cry
