I've wanted somethin like this for awhile- hanging oil lamps. I think they'll go good in my living room. I like these because they can be table lamps or you can bend the base & mount them on the wall. Buy two, got the 3rd free. I think one on each side of the front windows by the couch, then one on the table.
I think it'll be neat to sit there on winter evenings in their glow....smile
I went with a company called Vermont Lantern Company.

I like the idea that with 3 going in an otherwise dark room, they might help mimic that sort of fireplace glow, without the mess of a fireplace. I still want to get one of those electric fireplace stoves that glow too. then we be set for winter the right way I think.smile

We had those in our living room, growing up. They were old from when my Dad was a kid. Very nice. And perfect for when we lost electricity!

we had some growing up. we kept them in the basement but they did not hang.

Those are pretty JD!!  Hope you like them ! smile  I have two of these at home and two up at the cabin in case we lose power.  Mine sit on the tables, they can't be hung up.  They give off a nice glow though.

My dad has a few of those old, big oil lamps. They are pretty neat.

Some of them he used to do homework by when he was a kid before they got electricity out on the farm.
