The Great Rolling Stones Album List Project

Alright, I'll probably NEVER finish this, but I thought it would be a fun thing to TRY and do.

Jennifer got me a book that counts down the 500 greatest albums of all time according to Rolling Stone. It's pretty cool, and I thought maybe it would help spark some conversation here on the forum everyday.

Everyday I'll list another of the albums on the countdown, and hopefully it will get a conversation going about what we all think of the artist, the album or any personal experiences we've had related to the music.

Like I said, can I keep it up for 388 days? I think we all know I won't. But let's see how far we can go!

That's a great idea JR!  I've borrowed that book a few times from the libray, and I gotta say I agree with their picks at least through the first 25-30 albums listed.

I think it's a great reference manual for anyone who's looking to expand their music library.  smile

I was even considering making that the "album of the day" kind of like a New Music Weekend.  But I don't know if I'll go that far.

Love it. I say do it as much as you can, and if you can't we'll just have to live with that!

maybe I'll surprise myself and stick with it. It only takes a few minutes a day to start the thread.

When I got the book I really liked it, but it's one of those coffee table type books you generally just look at for a bit and put down, not something you read from cover to cover.

I thought this would be a way to make sure I really read it entirely. So I might stick with it.
