Nice! And one of the best albums ever recorded too!

Very very nice...but you know you aren't supposed to open christmas gifts until the 24th or 25th...don't you?
Part of the fun of Christmas is the peeking Since we were 800 miles apart I had to do a lot of "tellmetellmetellmetellme" on the phone to get her to crack. Once she got it she was too excited not to tell me what it was, so I knew what I was getting.
I'm very excited about her gift too, but I didn't tell
Nice! And one of the best albums ever recorded too!
I know! When she told me about it she said she knew it wasn't my favorite Meatloaf album but like I told her, it's THE Meatloaf album. If you're gonna have one framed and matted, it's gotta be BAT OUT OF HELL.

O how I wish we had a studio now
I'm way too afraid to ask what your favorite one is...

Sorry LS, but it was BAT OUT OF HELL II
Here's the thing though. Like we were talking about yesterday, I had totally dismissed Meatloaf growing up. My cousin had his albums, and the artwork, the name, the titles all made me assume it was heavy, HEAVY metal. Satans music if you will
In about 1990 I saw the movie Leap Of Faith and they had PARADISE BY THE DASHBOARD LIGHT IN IT. I owned the soundtrack and thought that song was hilarious because of it's ending.
Shortly after that BAT OUT OF HELL II was released, after more than a decade of no music from Loaf.
I LOVED his duets with Patti Russo, and just thought the songs were amazing epics. I loved how overblown and overdramatic they all were. LIFE IS A LEMON, I'D DO ANYTHING FOR LOVE, ROCK & ROLL DREAMS COME THROUGH, and so on and so on.
In 1992 I saw him in concert and that was it, I was done. Meatloaf is now my rock God. There's no-one I enjoy more, the guy is amazing.
But HELL II is my favorite CD because it's what really brought me into his music.
