I Am Legend Review

I went to see the movie "I Am Legend" tonight and I was really impressed with it. It is not a movie for small children, so please don't take them to see it!

The basis of the movie is that, Robert Nevill is a virologist who has helped discover the cure for cancer. Unfortunately the people that they have "cured" suddenly start dying or develop symptoms of rabies. It becomes airborne and is released into New York City. This virus kills 90% of mankind, turns 9.8% into mutated humans and leaves the other .2% of the people to survive.

Robert ( Will Smith ), is the last man in New York City. He believes himself to be the last person alive in the world. He is accompanied through the movie with his german shepard as they try and survive life with no other humans. They must return to their home at night to avoid the "Dark Seekers"(mutated humans).

Will Smith did a GREAT job in this movie! I actually felt sorry for him, watching him struggle with no human companionship. His emotional connection to his dog is at times humorous and at times sad. He longs for human companionship.

I definitely recommend this movie. It held my attention the entire time and by the time the movie was over, I felt as though I had gone through the movie with Robert. As I said, this is not a movie for children. At times, the movie is scary and I jumped a few times myself. It is also a very sad movie. Bring your tissues.  I give "I Am Legend" 4.5 stars.clap.gif
