I didn't see you slip in; I was over on Myspace reading Jules blog. How are you enjoying your nice long vacation from work?? Mine has been very relaxing.
Well hi there! I have really enjoyed the time off of work, and I am sad the end is so near. I needed some R&R badly. I love that I had time to read, crochet, visit with family and friends, and even watch some movies. What have you been up to?

I did some reading, watched some movies, played lots of Guitar Hero, and hung out with my girls. I also spent some time with both of my brothers, which was great, because each of them lives at least an hour's drive away from me so we don't get to see other too often.
I have to return to work on Wednesday, and really wish I had just a couple more days off, ha. When do you return to work?
I've read about half of it so far. Thanks so much for sending it to me!!!! I was really surprised the day it came in the mail. I just love her books and to read her words about the movie is awesome!
I'm so glad you like it. I thought the autographed pic would be fun but I knew you could appreciate something unique such as her response to the movie. It gives unique insights to her thoughts for the characters and into her vision. I think Rice is such a remarkable author...I admire her work so much! In fact, I am rereading Feast of All Saints right now, one of my all-time favorite books by her.

I just finished reading "The Witching Hour" for the second time. I'm about to begin "Lasher" again. I've already read all of the vampire chronicles a second time, ha.
Have any plans for tomorrow night? I'll be staying home, watching Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve. I also saw that Sci-fi channel is airing a marathon of The Twilight Zone so I'll catch some of those during the day. My youngest already has the timer set on the satelite box to remind her that they're on, haha.
Which book are you talking about? An autobiography?
It is Anne Rice's unpublished response to the movie interview with the Vampire, which includes her thoughts on the characters as she intended them. It's prpetty cool - there's not many copies in existence...it was something I got through another fan.

My plans aren't too specific. I'm going to have a nice dinner with my sweetie, have some wine, maybe watch a movie, play a game or something. I wanted a low-key evening. i think I'll chant, too - I'd like to ringin the new year with some inspired meditation and good karma.
I wish I could watch the Twilight zone marathon - I LOVE TZ!

Oh I like the idea of bringing in the new year with good karma!! I need to do something like that. There's been quite a bit of tension this year in my house and I'm so hoping for a better, brighter year ahead.
I should pick up some blank vcr tapes to tape some of the TZ episodes and send them to you. I can't do dvds because I don't have a recorder.
